It's about the journey

What was your favourite book when you were children? Mine, without any doubt, was "The Children of Noisy Village". The first book that I read on my own and after that I was getting back to it so many times that my parents became worried that I would never read any other book again. They had to hide it in a place that was out of my reach-on the wardrobe:)
Now I read the most when I commute to work. My everyday journey becomes a trip in time and space. One day I am dancing mambo in Lima of the 50s and the next day I am wandering lonely around Tokyo. I lose myself in New York of roaring 20s, to move from there to the 19th century St. Petersburg obssesed with money and power. In sleepy town of Macondo I spend my time with Buendia family.
I go to many places and in some of them I stay for long, impressed by their local colour and their fascinating inhabitants.
As you know, I love huge bags. You may ask why. Because I can put there my "must have"-a thick book.

Porque allí cabe mi "must have"-un libro grueso.

Teraz najwięcej czytam w drodze do pracy i z powrotem. Moja podróż staje się wędrówką w czasie i przestrzeni. Jednego dnia tańczę mambo w Limie lat 50, a kolejnego przemierzam samotnie ulice Tokio. Zapytacie: dlaczego? Bo mieści się w nich mój "must have" - gruba książka.

Red, turquoise and real life

Some time ago popular in internet were short videos showing how would it be if we were using facebook in real life. Not only were they very funny, but also showing a lot of truth about superficial Facebook contacts and how absurd are some features of this social network. Fortunately Facebook remains in the internet but what strikes me sometimes is that I would like to transmit a tiny bit of blogosphere into a real life. For instance when I see on the street some girl that is wearing a great outfit I would like to tell her this. Or ask where did she buy this blouse. Sometimes I glance at someone in metro because an outfit that I see is so adorable, but of course it would not be acceptable if I was staring for a long time. On other ocasions I feel like saying to a stranger: "Your trousers are very nice but I would change that bag".

So good that in the blogosphere we can stare as long as we want at other people's outfits and even comment on them (and get opinions on ours too). A big advantage of blogging is that it fulfills a need we cannot meet in real life. However, even better, when some of our virtual relations are not that superficial. Sometimes personal style blogs are not only about clothes.

Midi

Today one of these outfits where I show you garments that I "lost and found" in my wardrobe. This dress has already 7 years and I must admit that I do not wear it a lot. Midi lenght is a bit tricky and we should be careful not to get a certain "granny" look:) Do you sometimes wear midi dresses or skirts?

Dzisiaj zestaw z serii: znalezione we własnej szafie.

Lemon tree

I had a friend who was always going on vacation to the same place. Not out of necessity- by choice. I have reminded myself of it when recently I have gone again to Cadaqués (last year I showed it to you in this post). I have realised that I go there practically every year for a trip and to show this place to someone that have not been there yet. So out of necessity, but not only. I am also very fond of this place. Is it even possible not to be?! Or maybe, as humans, we like the places  (as well as songs for example) that we already know?
