Plan B

A plan to go to the south of France for a short vacation was quite spontaneuos and last-minute. Only 1,5 h by car and we arrived to small and picturesque town-Cerbère. Summer without an outfit with white shorts? Impossible! I love lively and summery colours of this oversize t-shirt that I paired them with. The wedges I was wearing are not only the most comfortable ones that I have, but also match with almost all my summer clothes.
Have a great week! Kisses!

Udanego tygodnia! Pozdrawiam serdecznie!

Candy girl

There are some clothes and accessories that instantly put me in a good mood.  This necklace is one of them. Its bright colours and shape remind me of sweets. I wear it all year round. In winter I pair it with grey and black and in summer with white and peach. I saw this bag for a first time quite a long time ago. It seemed a bit too expensive and too small so I did not buy it. Few days ago I saw it again-the price was reduced by 60%! I took it to the cash desk straight away.

Noszę go przez okrągły rok. W zimie zestawiam go z czernią i szarościami, a w lecie z bielą, brzoskwinią i różem. Z miejsca udałam sie z nią do kasy.

Sail on, Sailor

Sailor style was introduced to fashion, as many other timeless concepts, by Coco Chanel. Inspired by striped garments worn by Breton sailors, Chanel designed in 1917 her nautical collection. The navy and white striped top gained more popularity thanks to Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot.
This is an outfit that I have been wearing one of these days at work, as in August we can dress less formally. I opted for orange accessories instead of - more typical for sailor style - red ones. I quite often choose this kind of shoes, known as kitten heels or, as I call them, granny's heels :) They are extremely comfy and remind me a bit of Audrey Hepburn in "Sabrina", especially paired with cigarette trousers. Do you wear kitten heels? What do you think about sailor style?

Hello, Hawaii

Shirt: Promod (ss'10); Shorts: Zara Kids; Wedges: Fosco; Bag: Sfera (sales '12); Belt: from a Reserved dress

I am not in Hawaii but at least wearing a 'Hawaiian' shirt (that is how I call it). This shirt has been in my wardrobe for two years and I have only put it on a couple of times. I'm wondering why...
I prefer to think that trends don't affect the way I dress, that I choose what I like but... is that always true? I guess it is impossible to escape from trends. They are around us and influence our taste and style, sometimes against our will. Why, for example, do we change our opinion regarding certain prints or colours? Is it really our own choice? How does it happen that millions of people start liking the same thing at the same time? Who decides what will be in and what out?  I have found answers to some of these questions in the book 'Victimas de la moda' (Fashion Victims) written by Guillaume Erner - French sociologist, grandson of tailors, who for many years has been working in fashion industry. According to him, in fashion, like in democracy, everybody votes. Not everybody, though, has the same number of votes. The biggest influence have designers, and the 'street' plays the smallest role.
In his opinion, fashion is the result of two contradictions- the need of assimilation and the need of standing out.
What do you think?

Najwięcej - kreatorzy, a najmniej tzw. "ulica".

Ciekawa jestem Waszych opinii.
